(In memory of Helen Thomas. -KB)
One day I read an email
And received distressing news:
Of anti-Semitism
I had been falsely accused
But I'm not anti-Semitic,
I like the Jews just fine
In Troy New York or Timbuktu:
Any place but Palestine
The anti-Defamation league
Put the kibosh on me
They said that I believed in a
"Jewish conspiracy"
I'm not anti-Semitic,
I like the Jews just fine
In Northfield, Minnesota:
Any place but Palestine
It's true that Jewish thugs conspired
To steal the Holy Land
But now it seems that saying so
Is grounds for being banned
I'm not anti-Semitic,
I like the Jews just fine
In heaven, hell or Hollywood:
Any place but Palestine
They've drowned the holy land in blood
So please do not be peeved
When I say, with Helen Thomas,
That it's time for them to leave
I'm not anti-Semitic,
I like the Jews just fine
Next door or north of outer space:
Any place but PalestineLabels: anti-Semitism, ethnic cleansing, Helen Thomas, Israel, Jews, Palestine, poem, Zionism
