In late 2002 or early 2003 I first read an article entitled “9/11 In Context: Plans and Counterplans,” and it was one of the most insightful I had come across up to that time. But who was the author of the article, the mysteriously named “Max Kolskegg”? It wasn’t until years later that I learned that “Max Kolskegg” was a pen name used by Tod Fletcher.
It was with sadness that that I learned recently that Tod Fletcher and his wife Susan passed away a little over two weeks ago. (Please see articles linked below.)
Tod’s article “9/11 In Context: Plans and Counterplans” is a truly definitive study, and the third in a trilogy of articles written just before and after September 11, 2001. His insightful analyses of deeper political realities literally placed “9/11 in context,” helping many of us in those early years understand much more about what was really going on and why. His research and outreach in the realm of “deep politics” continued into September of 2014 (see links below). He will be greatly missed.
