I'm just exchanging views with someone on FB and need to refine my knowledge/debate skills on the Israel issue.
"Adam Syed, what would you like Israel to do? I'm not provoking, I'm curious. What would you like them to do? They are being attacked by rockets from Hamas. And Hamas says in their charter that they want the destruction of Israel. So what do you think should happen?"
How would you respond to that Kevin?
They should accept Hamas's offer of a 10 year truce and end the blockade. http://mondoweiss.net/2014/07/deafening-silence-proposal.html
During those ten years they should figure that not just Hamas, but virtually everyone in the Middle East, wants "the destruction of Israel" meaning the creation of an Israel-Palestine in which everyone is an equal citizen - including the Palestinian ethnic cleansing victims who have an inalienable right of return.
Then they should implement that vision and end their Jewish-superiority apartheid system, like South Africa did.
As in South Africa, the only alternative is a bloodbath.
