Mr. Richard B. Cheney
Mr. Donald H. Rumsfeld

Dear Dick and Don:

Millions of people have reached the conclusion that the official account of 9/11 is actually a deception of monumental proportions. Instead of believing that the Pentagon was struck by a commercial airliner, that United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania, and that three skyscrapers within the World Trade Center collapsed after being struck by two airliners, they say the evidence shows that the Pentagon was struck by a missile (or something other than a commercial airliner), that Flight 93 was shot down over Pennsylvania, and that the World Trade Center buildings were blown up.

I’m no common conspiracy theorist. To suggest that the official account is a huge deception is completely insane. We know this because if the truth of 9/11 were something different from what you guys reported, key players or facilitators would have already talked. Their guilty consciences – as evil as these people must be -- would have prevented them from keeping their knowledge secret.

But I have been torturing myself trying to understand some comments that you have made. On October 12, 2001, you, Don, told Parade magazine in an interview at the Pentagon that the terrorists had used “a missile to damage this building” (http://www.defenselink.mil/transcript s/transcript.aspx?TranscriptID=3845). This was six months before the publication of Thierry Meyssan’s book, Pentagate, in which the missile theory first gained public attention. On December 27, 2004, you again, Don, said that the terrorists had “shot down the plane over Pennsylvania” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6Xoxaf1Al0 ). And just today, on CBS’s “Face the Nation”, you, Dick, said to Bob Schieffer that we must not forget that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the man who “blew up the World Trade Center” on 9/11 (http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5004452n – at about 7:47 – 8:00).

So let’s get this straight. According to your own statements, the Pentagon was struck by a missile, Flight 93 was shot down over Pennsylvania, and the World Trade Center buildings were blown up.

Coming from two extremely intelligent individuals who choose their words with extraordinary care, as you always do, it doesn’t seem likely that these are merely random, inconsequential misstatements. Had they come from George, perhaps they would be less significant, but not from you two.

Is there more that you would like to tell the world about 9/11? Did Osama bin Laden and his operatives launch the missile that hit the Pentagon and did they shoot down Flight 93? If so, how? And how did they gain access to plant the explosives inside the World Trade Center buildings? And why would they want to ensure that these buildings would fall straight down into their footprints rather than topple over to destroy adjacent structures and kill thousands more people?

Please call me any time so that we can discuss this.

Yours sincerely,
